I met Phua Chu Kang!!! (Really updated now: The casting + more photos + my list)

Oh gee I wonder what today's post is going to be about haha.


Even if you don't like Phua Chu Kang (GASP!!!!!!) the photo is worth seeing la it's me completely without make-up (DOUBLE GASP). Omg wait don't judge these photos okay because the quality is super super bad! Taken by a phone camera at 2am! I'll give you another bad photo of me to judge so spare these from your traducing words please!

I know you hear this about stars often but Gurmit Singh and Rosie were really both so nice and truly funny in real life!!! Gurmit Singh actually went back into the house and put on his costume just to take photos with us, even during his break time! Omg super nice or what!! And Rosie, though we were quite scared of her at first, was also damn funny and jokey! She came to us and said, "WHO FLIRTING WITH MY HUSBAND?!" Hahahahah how laidback right!

They're filming in a place like four rows away from my house that's why we got to meet them! Omg if this was Jay I would totally skip school until he's done filming and bring soup for him everyday.

I went there twice, with two different group of friends. At first because there were more people it was quite frustrating. When Gurmit Singh deigned for pictures I had clearly asked for a photo first and he said yes but in the confusion of things, someone else stole him away. The second time was better because it was later in the night and the crew themselves let us in!! So nice right!

I would also like to proudly announce that I was almost knocked down by a car driven by Phua Chu Kang himself! And Rosie saved me by yelling "EH CAR!"

I know I sound so proud right haha.

But I'm really still so starstruck (this is actually someone that I've been watching since young! And I'm on his film set!) so just humor me la okay.

Okay can I just say again how kind Gurmit Singh was just now!! Wee Lim says he was so touched when we asked for photos and expected him to just start taking then and there, but then he said, "Okay I go change into my costume." and that was after he was done with his final scene! He was supposed to take a respite from his costume but he went back in and spent about three minutes putting on the hair and the boots! Makes me want to give him a thousand mandarin oranges seriously.

Also, the crew asked me and my friends to go for casting tomorrow!!!! And I'm seriously considering if I should! It's nothing special they practically asked everyone to go for the casting so it's probably minor roles (sweep floor, ring doorbell, clean toilet) but it's an excuse to visit the filming set again so I can't decide! I already caught a few seconds of one scene and it was good! Plus can go back and take nicer photos with a good camera! How should go or not!!!

And turns out the casting was for a role with dialogues and stuff!!! It wasn't just a sweep floor role! At first they handed my friend a paper with dialogues and we thought he was just talking to her so I didn't bother much but after that he told us it was for all of us and so I had to go in without even looking at my lines!! That part was traumatizing! I didn't care for the role but I didn't want to look like I am inept at memorizing lines ma! Hello A in Biology thank you very much!

Sigh I some more waited outside so patiently to be given a broom or something to practice my role! Turns out that freaking dialogue was mine!

I would much rather sweep the floor.

I can only pray that my friend gets it so I can visit the set when she does her role muahaha. It's for a Malay girl anyway and I don't look Malay (I think).
