God please give me good skin part two
Blog Advert
Garnier Pure A Facial Scrub
I first tried the scrub out of curiosity. I collected it from Nuffnang’s office (I went all the way from Klang to KL ... only to discover that Yee Hou was in Klang all the while, which is why he only has one limb now. The other is buried under his office building) and the unopened bottle was looking at me with those imploring eyes, tempting and inveigling me, and so I succumbed and tried it. Stupid seductive bottle.

I really liked the beads they had in the scrub because I always feel so satisfied massaging beads onto my face. The immediate feeling after that was one of freshness and, again, satisfaction (sorry it’s those beads!) but I had reservations because I thought it might just be my mind tricking me into thinking it regulates oil sebum, since I just read the description before using it. (See must be smart like me to take into account other factors!)
Now I want to relate to you guys just an incident that happened.
Okay, now, for those with oily skin (and for some with normal skin too actually) you know how when you go out and come home, you find your skin all oily and dirty and uncomfortable? Urgh especially when you touch your nose or any part of your face and then look at your finger you can actually SEE the oil!And then you wipe the oil on some unsuspecting stranger muahah
Let’s call this condition Skinoilisad – short for Skin Oily I sad. And I have that skin condition. I have Skinoilisad.
One day I was attending my cousin’s bachelorette party so I spent four hours outdoors, with only a single fan blowing in my face. I knew Skinoilisad would happen again, with greater intensity since I was sweating.
But surprisingly, and honestly this caught me by surprise too, Skinoilisad didin’t happen! Well not to the usual extent anyway! My skin was still in a bearable condition during and after the party! I came home, poked my skin for a while and then said hallelujah thank you Jesus and Gandhi. I never really asked why this sudden miracle, I mean when miracles happen you just be happy for it you don’t question it. Gandhi wouldn’t have wanted you to question it.
So it took me a while to suddenly recall I had used Garnier’s product for the first time today, and that was how my daily facial routine was different. Then it took me only a few seconds to make the connection. Aww I have Garnier to thank for my good skin today. [This part was written on the day that it happened.]
Overall verdict: Would give it 3.7 out of 5. My personal opinion is that this facial scrub is something that won’t produce miracles in one day – no facial wash is supposed to – and it’ll take a longer than the time that I had with this scrub to actually see the full result. So far it’s been good. It has the usual perks: skin feels refreshed and clean, easy to wash off, beads feel so good (okay no more mention of beads I promise! BEADS! Sorry one last time!). But I highly advise readers to know their skin condition before trying out any skin products. Garnier is good in a sense that a lot of people I know who have used their products have had it worked for them, but still you can’t be too careful!
Garnier Self-Heating Sauna Mask
This is a face mask that is used on the T-zone area and chin and left on for three minutes! (But I cheat and use them all over my face because it feels good shhh don’t tell the people at Garnier.) Its special feature is as a self-heating sauna mask so when I placed it on my face I felt this gooey layer on my skin getting hotter by the second (but not hot until can burn a hole through skin la siao meh) and the zinc working too.
Remember my crazy skin confession the other day when I was just yelling stuff to you guys’ face? Well one of the affected area is my forehead, as seen from this picture.

And now for the after. Behold.

One photo in a better light.
Well they’re totally cleared, it’s just a face product, not God, but it’s definitely better than before. If this doesn’t show the effectiveness of the mask at deep-cleansing, the following incident should!
You know how when you use the toner you swab the cotton all over your face and after that there’s this satisfaction about looking at the cotton to see how much dirt you got out? Well this is how my cotton usually looks like and mind you, I clean two, maybe three, times a day:

Okay the camera can’t quite capture the dirt and blackness properly, but trust me it’s there. My face is like a mini sewage sometimes.
Here’s how the cotton looks like even two days after I’ve used the mask (the effect’s supposed to last for seven days):

Not as black and dirty as before! The mask really did cleanse my pores for the better of mankind! What do you know!
Trust me I was shocked as well! I never knew this could be a way to gauge the effectiveness of a facial mask!
One effect was also after using the mask, I see my pimples and redness reducing in intensity. They don’t go away so fast, but it’s definitely a good mask to use before going out and you have a severe pimple that you want to calm down a bit.
Overall verdict: 4 out of 5. Very cool concept. The zinc was very assuring, and the self-heating part made your skin feel good so gotta give them points for that!

Brooke Chetchuti if you're reading this you need to get back to your case study! Chop chop!
Hahahah chop chop what the hell.
I know I haven't updated in a while! You must be thinking, what happened to the bitch who is uncouth and short at times (sometimes I wear heels and sometimes I lie about my height) but also very entertaining to me!?! WHAT HAPPENED?! You indignantly cry.
Could she have been hit by a stray shuttlecock which knocked out her eye? (Omg CHOI can really happen one ok.) Could she have been so tired from her badminton practice that she collapsed in front of her laptop and never woke up? (Haha this is impossible lor! Usually even after like two hours of practice I am still energetic can bug people some more!) Could she just have been lazy? (Of course not.)
Whatever the reason is ... I ownself also forget already. And I'm just stalling because fucking Facebook would not load and I wanna post some photos from there!!! HELLO!? Aren't you guys supposed to be THE social networking website! What the fuck is up with this slow connection???Now let me try clicking to cheeserland.com ... YES IT WORKS! And it's not even getting a quarter of Facebook's clicks! (Sorry Ringo) Can someone please give me the name of the creators of Facebook so I can have names to blame??? (Unless they're hot because when you're hot everything is forgivable.)
Let me try Facebook again ... not working. So you see, it's not my fault there's no photos in this post of mine. Okay sorry la once I get the photos I shall post them up ASAP ok!

And what the fuck does playing long and wide mean??? Why winner must serve?!? When playing doubles when must switch place???

THIS POST IS FOR TEO JIE HAO
Whose flight and farewell party I totally missed. :( It was about fifteen minutes ago that my mind suddenly went SHIT JIE HAO'S FLIGHT.
Shit Jie Hao's flight.
He's furthering his studies in Australian National University (16TH IN THE WORLD THANK YOU VERY MUCH) and he left at 10 tonight! I planned to send him off at the airport but my Cornell Admissions interview took longer than I thought it would. Sorry Jie Hao all the best bla bla bla ok!
So, I missed my friend's flight, I have a history unit test tomorrow which I forgot about until like this morning, I have a whole chapter of Math homework to do (I promised my teacher I would do his homework after I saw him dress like this:

so yeah gotta do his work now), I have a Biology lab design due tomorrow ... but I'm going to spend some time and blog about my little group interview with Chen Chow, an alumnus of Cornell University. Just because I still feel very inspired and in awe so I wanna make a small note of it now before the feeling goes away.
The group session was going well, just a whole table of us, asking questions, listening and so on. And then Chen Chow told us about his life story and how he got accepted, and something in me just went out for him. I don't know why, but it just did. He told us about how he came from a rural Chinese school, and he didn't speak much English at all, that speaking English was a matter of "showing off" for him. He was on scholarship by a sponsor and when he got accepted to Cornell people actually asked him if he was joking. His trip to Cornell was the first ever time he touched an airplane.
I don't want to reveal too much, but basically he told us how he was really struggling with grades and speaking English and all, and I know all this may sound ordinary to you now but honestly I was this close to tearing when I heard him go on about his life at Cornell. If he had added something like, "I had to cut off my arm for a living." then I would have really cried. But okay his situation wasn't anywhere near that abject level la.
His problems were ordinary, but it was because they were ordinary that they really tugged at my heartstrings. In that moment I thought about how good I have it, how good all of us have it ... and I don't know why thinking about how lucky I truly am can make me feel sad but it did! Maybe it's because I know him and I are not that different, and I could have easily been in his situation. All at once I felt so grateful, like I had to thank my parents fulsomely for my good life and for the opportunities, and ... aiyo the feeling is quite ineffable. Or maybe it's ineffable now because every fibre of my being is itching to go study History.
Anyway I just felt like I had to post this little shoutout to Chen Chow, whom I am adding to my book of inspirational figures! Maybe next time if someone asks me who I will invite to speak if I have the chance to invite anyone, I'll say you! :D (To epitomize the predicament of an all-Chinese student from Malaysia venturing into the an all-English country etc etc see I even got my reason ready already!)

Short update on my life
So here's the things that have been going on.
1. Lew Wee Lim left for Melbourne like three days ago. I was crying all the way back home.
2. I turned on TV, watched the last episode of Grey's Anatomy and cried again.
3. I'm actually fine you know. Like, seriously. I believe LDR can work. Well, our LDR anyway. We were just at that point where we had so much of each other that we know this separation is nothing. You know how some wives have husbands who leave to work at another country and they're all totally fine with it? I think we're probably at that point now, except we have no Arabian kids.
4. I made it to my school Badminton Varsity Team. No, I did not flirt with the teacher. I made it entirely on my own effort, with lots of practice, determination, dedication .... the other girls who tried out were bad.
5. I now have three badminton practices per week. Gee. I wonder what that's gonna do to my blogging schedule.
6. No I'm just kidding I still love you guys and I will blog for you guys!!! I'll give up my Study Hall (lie)!
7. Okay enough already la wtf so many meh.

God please give me good skin Part One
Blog Advert
First of all, I have a confession. (Aha I bet you are all listening attentively now because confessions usually mean stuff like I have an extra leg, I turn out to be adopted, I have an extra leg and I turn out to be adopted, etc.)
Okay for those who were expecting harrowing dramas of the superfluous body part variety (siao meh you think extra legs fall from the sky ah), you will be disappointed, but this will be quite a piece of pleasing information to some of you out there. This is also the first time I’m mentioning this publicly. And that confession is ... I have bad skin.
That’s right, I said it and I’ll say it again. I have bad skin. I have bad skin. I HAVE BAD SKIN.
I! Have! Bad! Skin!
I have ... okay I think you get my point. (Just say yes la do you want me to go I have bad skin again.)
Photos like these?

SHAM. This was good foundation.

SHAM. This was good angle and poor lighting haha.

SHAM. This was good foundation, good angle and a lot of answered prayers.
Truth is I have oily skin and I do have pimples that seem unassailable at times, and I have tried a fair amount of facial products, and so I decided to give Garnier a try. (Sound like Zhang Zi Yi or not hahaha.)
This is just the first part of my review so my task is to give you an introduction on the products I was given.
Garnier Pure A Anti-Imperfection Scrub Wash
With a long name, comes great responsibilities. Why is this not funny at all. Anyway, this facial scrub is supposed to regulate sebum and tighten pores, fighting against stubborn imperfections (ROAR) with the help of this one product which is fast becoming a trademark in their Pure line: zinc.

Unclog, cleanse and purify! Garner Pure A wash has beads in them that give you such a satisfaction when you’re scrubbing. It can also help the skin clear imperfections and prevent them from appearing. Zinc can be quite effective, and the smell is tolerable. This is making me want to go rub my face against zinc walls. (JOKING JOKING.)
Garnier Pure Self-Heating Sauna Mask
If there’s one word(s) I hate more in this world than “sorry miss no size”, it’s gotta be sebum. This is the single one cause of misery in perfectly happy people’s lives. Acne la, greasy skin, redness ... all sebum! This mask works by focusing on areas like your T-Zone area, the forehead, the nose and the chin and doing a homekit deep cleansing on your skin. It also has the ingredient of ... zinc again!

Paiseh I forgot to take photo then use already. -_- I had to pick the packet up from the trash can somemore DON’T LAUGH OK IT IS NOT FUNNY.
This three-minute action mask will “deeply purify” your ores for seven days. Unclogging, cleansing, reducing pore size, you name it. I know I sound very intepid here but I am actually excited to tell you what the mask did for me, but I’ll keep all that for part two! :D
Sorry for the lack of updates or so. I’m having such a crappy schedule where I sleep only for three, four hours a day, which would be fine if I did not have to travel four hours per day every single weekday to school. It’s times like these that I really need a good facial wash to save my skin. Really.
PS – This was written long ago, so I’ve gotten my transport thing settled down. No more crappy schedule! :)

The very accurate personality test!!!!!!!!! + New hair and eyes
Then again it wasn't that accurate for Debra so I only put nine exclamation marks instead of ten.
But everyone else who took it thought it was really spot-on! I was so amazed to the point that it got a bit freaky! I was like GASP THIS TEST KNOWS ME. I did this in TOK and it was accurate for Mr Munro too (though he denies it because he thinks the last sentence wasn't very accurate. Come to think of it so did Debra. So you might want to be careful of the last sentence. My last sentence, however, was very accurate. TEEHEE you'll see what I mean).

First you read the story above and you list, entirely according to your own rationalizing the most moral to the least moral. It must be entirely on your own, which means that if you think it's right to throw pigs at annoying children then you must list that as number one.
Now you look at this list (click to enlarge) and see which are you according to your choice:

And read your description! I swear for me it was so accurate! The amazing thing is not its accuracy, but how a simple listing down thing can tell so much about yourself!
Isn't it freaky????
I can't tell you what I got! Because it might affect your choices! But after most of you have done this I might reveal it in the comments and you can read my description and we can gasp in awe together at its supernatural accuracy! Try it ok!

I DYED MY HAIR!

And discovered FreshKON colored contacts which actually fit my eyes, unlike stupid Freshlook (TWO of my Freshlook contacts have torn so far)! The color's also way more striking than Freshlook's and conspicuous = happy May Zhee.

I swear the iPhone takes such nice self-shots sometimes, I'm sorry to say. Your skin always looks so good (even though it's actually not)! But you know what takes even nicer self-shots? LG ICE CREAM! Yes yes to the many of you who asked, I will be writing a review on it! In fact I'm drafting one right now! And also another about a facial product! So busy!
Oh, my friend is looking for a blue LG Ice-Cream for anyone who's willing to sell it at a lower price!! Anyone anyone? (If you want to give her free also she won't mind one.)
PS - Feel free to tell me what you want to know about the LG Ice-Cream and I'll cover it in my advertorial! Its camera, user-friendliness, etc.

Crazy music people + crazy telegram people = Digi Music Telegram!
Blog Advert
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Fufu. To make her name sound funnier, we’ll add Fafa to the end and call her Fufufafa. (She is not to be mistaken with her best friend, Alfafa. Not Alfalfa sprouts, ok, just Alfalfa. Respect please.)
The thing is, Alfalfa has been getting a lot of jibing at the school because of the similarity of her name to a certain food item. Like once, she broke her arm in basketball so she walked around the school with a cast and people were quick to claim that her arm was bitten off by a vicious vegetarian. Which if you think about it is not even funny because Alfalfa sprouts taste so horrible. BUT ANYWAY she really did break her arm in basketball, Fufu is sure of that. Because it was Fufu herself who pushed Alfalfa. She had no choice, Alfalfa was blocking her way, and Alfalfa did get higher than her on the previous Biology quiz ...

NOT ALFALFA SPROUTS.
So to cheer her up (and to secretly make up for what she did), Fufufafa decided to dedicate a song to her using Digi’s Music Telegram)!

Ah what a good friend I am, Fufu thinks to herself. I could be a better one if she didn’t get that 95 in Biology, she added as an afterthought. And so she decided to dedicate another song, but this time, under a pseudonym.

What a clever pseudonym! She’ll never know it’s me. Muahaha. Haha. Ha. Ha.
And if Fufu is lucky/vindicitive enough, her dedication will be chosen for the on-ground session, where a live band will go up to the recipient of the dedication and actually sing the song to them, on the spot!! Like this of a man peeing and listening to Akon’s Mr Lonely while covering up his package!
But Fufufafa does not wish to have the band sing when Alfalfa is peeing. She’d be in a cubicle, and Fufu’s pretty sure beating down the cubicle door when someone is peeing is breaking the law in some way. It also isn’t nice to sing to a cubicle door. Let them do it during her Bio study time, Fufu laughs malignantly to herself, then we’ll see if she has enough time to study for the next Biology test. She heard that the videos were also going to be shot and posted on the website and she prays that if it is done Alfalfa will be too distracted relooping her video on that website that she’ll forget to study. Fufu realizes she isn’t a very good friend at this point, but it’s okay as long as no one knows.
And then it got addictive. And Fufufafa, um, under the pseudonym of May Zhee, dedicated some songs to friends, um, under pseudonyms too!

HAHAHAHA Fufu found this very funny because, well, does Shamir Salim sound Chinese to you???
Hey May Zhee is a nice pseudonym ok! Do not blame Fufu for using it over and over again! Ahem.
The next day at school, everyone was talking about the Music Telegram. It seems to be the “cool” thing in school now, right up there next to things like Facebook, partying on Friday nights and using the word “epic”. Fufu was hopeless at Facebook (she has 2 friends on her list and they write on her wall quite infrequently. Probably because she isn’t a good friend), she did not party on Friday nights because it clashed with her Sudoku night (why must they be on the same day why god why) and she couldn’t pronounce epic, for some reason. So she capitalized on this Music Telegram to belong to the cool group.

Tough choice.
Fufu especially likes the on-ground session (and briefly wonders why the band has not bugged Alfalfa during her Biology study time yet). Oh shoot. The Biology quiz Is tomorrow. (Maybe if I spend less time sabotaging my best friend or dedicating songs on this addictive Music Telegram I would have more time to study, Fufu thinks to herself ... hmmm maybe ... OH LOOK A NEW VIDEO IS UPDATED.)
Fufu thinks this girl is funny and wants to be Chinese now! (Fufufafa is ... er ... Swedish.)
Hahahaha another funny Chinese girl man Chinese people are just so funny.
Ok la all these farce aside, here is my overall review of Digi’s music telegram: I think the website is very simple and fuss-free! And I loooove the English song choices haha I especially like that there’s “cynical” there! Props to them for the creativity and functionality aspect of this Music Telegram! Go try it out but I did warn you that it can be addictive (I sent like five already)! And will possibly make you throw aside your History homework so History teachers wouldn’t like this very much – OH I CAN DEDICATE ONE TO MY HISTORY TEACHER! :D (You see this is what happens.)
